The lift comes from the Bilstein 5100 ride height adjustable strut itself. You remove your factory front strut assemblies, transfer your factory coil springs and upper strut mounts onto the new 5100 struts, and set the lower spring seat in one of the snap-ring grooves machined into the strut body. A higher groove adds preload to your stock coil and raises the front of the truck, from factory height up to about 2.1 in.
