Why the LoadController II

An onboard compressor turns air helper springs from a set-and-forget upgrade into something you adjust from the driver's seat. Hook up the trailer, add air until the truck is level, dump it when you unhook. In-cab analog gauge and paddle switch.

Questions

Which air spring kits does this work with?

Any Air Lift LoadLifter, RideControl, SlamAir or Air Lift 1000 kit, and most other brands of air helper spring that use standard 1/4 in air line.

Single path or dual path?

Single path fills both springs to the same pressure with one control. Dual path controls each side separately, which matters for off-center loads like a slide-in camper with a side-mounted water tank or a trailer that leans.

Can I run the springs at 0 PSI with a compressor system?

No. Compressor systems maintain a 5 PSI minimum to protect the air springs, which is Air Lift's recommended floor for kits without an internal jounce bumper anyway.

How long does installation take?

Plan on two to three hours. The wiring harness is pre-assembled; you mount the compressor and manifold, run air line to each spring and wire to switched or constant 12V power per the manual.
