Why the Bilstein 4600

Stock-height trucks that tow, haul or just want the factory ride to feel controlled again with a direct-fit monotube shock. The Bilstein 4600 for your 2019-2026 Ram 2500 2WD/4WD is a 46mm monotube shock with velocity-sensitive digressive valving, tuned per application for stock ride height. Bilstein's monotube design keeps oil and gas separated by a floating piston, so damping does not fade as the shock heats, and the digressive piston firms up on sharp inputs while staying compliant over small bumps.

Questions

Is this one shock or a pair?

One shock. Bilstein sells truck shocks individually, so order two for one axle or four for the whole truck.

Will the 4600 work on a leveled or lifted truck?

No. The 4600 is valved and sized for stock ride height. Leveled or lifted trucks need the 5100 (or the 5100 Ride Height Adjustable in the front on coilover trucks).

Do I need an alignment?

Not for a rear shock swap. Front shocks on strut-type trucks disturb the alignment enough that Bilstein calls for a check.

How long does installation take?

Rear shocks are a 20 to 30 minute job per side with hand tools. Front strut-type shocks need a spring compressor and take one to two hours per side.

What is the warranty?

Limited lifetime warranty (Bilstein North America). Bilstein warranties are non-transferable and processed through the original place of purchase, so keep your Hannah Suspension order confirmation.
