How this leveling kit works
The front is the Bilstein 5100 ride height adjustable strut: you transfer your factory coil springs and upper mounts onto the new strut and set the lower spring seat in a snap-ring groove for 0 to 2.8 in of lift; 2.1 in is the setting to run on stock upper control arms. The rear moves to the 5160, a 5100 with an external reservoir that adds oil volume and heat capacity so a coil-sprung Ram rear holds its damping under a trailer or on long dirt roads.
- You reuse: factory coil springs, upper strut mounts, isolators and mounting bolts
- You replace: both front strut and damper assemblies, both rear shocks
- You need: a spring compressor (or a shop) to move the coils, and an alignment after install
Why this kit
This is the step up from the plain 5100 level for a 4th gen Ram that tows, hauls or sees washboard. The front is identical, so you keep the leveled stance at 2.1 in on factory arms. The rear keeps the 5100 digressive valving but adds a reservoir, so it does not fade on heat. Limited lifetime warranty at all four corners.

Questions
Which setting should I use?
2.1 in levels most 4th gen crew cabs and is the highest setting recommended on stock upper control arms. 2.8 in needs aftermarket UCAs and usually a differential drop on 4WD.
Do I need a spring compressor?
Yes. The factory coil transfers to the new strut. Plan on 1.5 to 2 hours per side for the fronts, 30 to 45 minutes per side for the rears with the reservoir bracket, and an alignment afterward.
I have a 2019 to 2024 Ram 1500 Classic. Is this my kit?
Yes. The Classic is the 4th gen body and takes this kit.
What is the warranty?
