Why the Bilstein 5160
Lifted trucks that run long washboard, desert or fire-road miles where a standard shock heats up and fades. The Bilstein 5160 for your 2019-2026 Chevy Silverado 1500 / GMC Sierra 1500 4WD is a 46mm monotube shock with a remote reservoir for extra oil volume and cooling, 360-degree swivel banjo fitting and billet reservoir mount. Bilstein's monotube design keeps oil and gas separated by a floating piston, so damping does not fade as the shock heats, and the digressive piston firms up on sharp inputs while staying compliant over small bumps.

Questions
Is this one shock or a pair?
One shock. Bilstein sells truck shocks individually, so order two for one axle or four for the whole truck.
Is this for a stock or lifted truck?
Bilstein lists this part number as a direct fit for this application; T14 did not state a specific lift height. Check the collapsed and extended length against your current shock if the truck is lifted.
Where does the reservoir mount?
The hose is a 360-degree swivel banjo and Bilstein includes a billet clamp; on most trucks the reservoir mounts to the frame near the shock. Check hose routing through full travel and steering before you drive it.
Is the reservoir worth it over a 5100?
If you run long dirt, washboard or high-speed off-road miles, yes: the extra oil volume keeps damping consistent as the shock heats. For pavement and occasional trails a 5100 does the same job for less.
How long does installation take?
Rear shocks are a 20 to 30 minute job per side with hand tools. Front strut-type shocks need a spring compressor and take one to two hours per side.
What is the warranty?
Two-year limited warranty (Bilstein North America). Bilstein warranties are non-transferable and processed through the original place of purchase, so keep your Hannah Suspension order confirmation.
