Why this kit
Trail Boss and AT4 trucks leave the factory with a 2 in lift and Rancho dampers that most owners are ready to replace by 30,000 miles. The Bilstein 6112 kit for these trucks is built to the taller factory geometry: a 60mm monotube coilover with Bilstein's own cold-wound spring, adjustable from the factory lifted height up to another 1.2 in. The two 5160 rears carry the same digressive valving with a remote reservoir that keeps the oil cool on long dirt roads and heavy loads. Bilstein sells the fronts and rears as separate part numbers; this kit puts the correct Trail Boss / AT4 set in one order.

Questions
Why is the Trail Boss kit different?
The factory 2 in lift changes strut length and spring rate. The 47-309524 is built for that geometry so the truck keeps its full travel and ride quality. The standard-suspension 6112 will not fit correctly.
Do the fronts come assembled?
No. Bilstein ships the strut and spring separately; assembly needs a spring compressor and the factory top mount. Plan on 2 hours per side for the fronts, 30 to 45 minutes per corner for the rears including reservoir mounting, and an alignment afterward.
Do I need upper control arms?
Not at the 1.2 in this kit adds. Combined with the factory lift the truck stays inside the range the stock arms handle.
Will this fit the AT4X or ZR2?
No. Those use Multimatic DSSV dampers and different geometry; Bilstein does not list this kit for them.
What is the warranty?
Limited lifetime on the 6112 struts and springs, 2 years on the 5160 reservoir shocks, through Bilstein North America and processed through the original place of purchase. Keep your Hannah Suspension order confirmation.
