From ICON
ICON's V.S. 3.0 Series Remote Reservoir CDEV Bolt-In Coilover Conversion Kit will add a new level of performance and adjustability to 2017-2026 F-250 and F-350 pickup trucks. The advantage of utilizing a coilover conversion kit is that they have been designed to increase the overall damping ability of the vehicle while at the same time allowing for user-defined ride height adjustment. 3.0 Series shocks boast 50% more piston surface area compared to 2.5 Series shocks. This translates into increased stability and vehicle control at the extremes of off-road use, with benefits also making themselves apparent in on-road driving conditions. Increased internal oil volume and more external surface area compared to 2.5 Series shocks offer improved heat dissipation and resistance to shock fade under hard use. Like all ICON shock absorbers, V.S. 3.0 Series shocks are 100% rebuildable and 100% revalveable. The ICON CDE Valve upgrade is included for those desiring an easy way to tune the ride electronically from inside the vehicle. Compression Damping Electronic Valve (CDEV) is an electronically controlled valve that meters the flow of oil to regulate the amount of damping force that is created by the shock when compressed. This infinitely variable valve can react in less than 40ms and has the ability to make extremely precise adjustments for varying terrain. CDEV's hydraulic circuits are also custom tailored per application to create the highest resolution and dynamic range allowable for each specific vehicle. Powered by ICON Intelligent Control and proprietary ICON mobile app, the system uses information from the onboard G-force sensor and Gyroscope to perform calculations based on algorithms and user-defined settings to predict terrain and adjust shock settings via the CDEV accordingly.
Why this 2.5 Series VS RR CDEV Bolt-In Coilover Conversion Kit
ICON 2.5 Series coilovers replace the factory strut with a threaded-body, vehicle-specific unit for the 2017-2026 Ford F-250/F-350 Super Duty. Ride height is set on the spring collar within the listed range, and damping is valved for this truck rather than a generic length.

Questions
IR, RR, PB: what is the difference?
IR is an internal reservoir, a self-contained monotube body. RR is a remote reservoir connected by hose and PB is a piggyback reservoir bolted to the body; both add oil volume and cooling so damping stays consistent on long rough sections. IR is lighter and simpler; RR and PB resist fade.
CDCV, CDEV, CDXS: which adjuster?
CDCV is a 10-position manual compression knob. CDEV is an electronic compression valve controlled by the ICON Intelligent Control module and phone app, which reads speed and terrain and adjusts on the fly; it requires the IIC install kit. CDXS is a manual dual-circuit adjuster with 10 marked detents each for compression and rebound. Shocks without a code run ICON's fixed vehicle-specific valving.
Can these be serviced?
Yes. Every ICON shock and coilover is rebuildable and revalveable through ICON factory shock service. The shock warranty is 12 months against manufacturing defects.
Do I need an alignment?
Yes. Any change to front ride height requires a four-wheel alignment after installation.
Do I need upper control arms?
ICON recommends aftermarket upper control arms once front lift exceeds roughly 2 in on independent-front-suspension trucks, to restore alignment range and ball joint angle. The Stage 2 and higher systems for this truck include them.
Who installs it?
ICON requires professional installation and does not cover failures caused by improper installation. Plan on a shop with a lift and an alignment rack for anything that changes ride height.
Why is this special order?
