Why the LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate
Half-ton through one-ton trucks that tow trailers or haul heavy bed loads and want the safety margin of an internal jounce bumper. The Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate bolts between the frame and the rear axle on your 1982-2004 Ford F-250/F-350 Super Duty / Ram 1500 / Ram 2500/3500 and adds up to 5,000 lb of adjustable load-leveling support. Add air when you hook up the trailer or load the bed to stop rear squat, trailer sway, headlight aim drift and bottoming out; bleed it off when you are empty for a stock ride. An internal jounce bumper inside each air spring cushions the axle and lets the kit run safely at 0 PSI when the truck is unloaded.

Questions
Does this kit increase my payload or towing rating?
No. Air springs level the truck and stop squat within the weight the manufacturer already rates it for. GVWR, axle, tire and hitch ratings do not change.
Do I need an onboard compressor?
No. The kit includes Schrader valves so you can air up at any gas station or with a portable compressor. An Air Lift LoadController or WirelessAir system lets you adjust from the cab and is the most common add-on.
Can I run the springs empty when the truck is unloaded?
An internal jounce bumper inside each air spring cushions the axle and lets the kit run safely at 0 PSI when the truck is unloaded. Onboard compressor systems hold a 5 PSI minimum regardless.
Will it lift my truck?
It is not a lift kit. At low pressure ride height is essentially stock; more pressure raises the loaded rear end back to level. Running high pressure unloaded will sit the rear up and stiffen the ride.
Does it work with a fifth-wheel or gooseneck hitch?
Compatible with in-bed fifth-wheel and gooseneck hitches.
How long does installation take?
Most owners finish in one to two hours with common hand tools. The kit uses existing frame holes. Detailed illustrated instructions are in the box.
