How this kit works
Direct replacement for worn factory shocks with no change in ride height. The 4600 front strut takes your factory coil spring and upper mount, so the front is a strut swap on a spring compressor; the rears bolt in. Bilstein tunes the 4600 for the 4th gen Ram specifically, so the truck rides like it did new but with monotube control that does not fade on rough roads or with a trailer behind it.
- You reuse: factory coil springs, upper strut mounts, isolators and mounting bolts
- You replace: both front strut and damper assemblies, both rear shocks
- You need: a spring compressor (or a shop) for the fronts, and an alignment after install
Why this kit
Most 4th gen Rams are past 100,000 miles on the factory dampers. If the truck floats, nose-dives under braking or wallows with a load and you want to keep the factory stance, this is the fix at the lowest Bilstein price point: a 46mm monotube with digressive valving that firms up the ride without making it harsh. Questions
Will this level my truck?
No. The 4600 keeps factory ride height. If you want to level the front, use the 5100 leveling kit.
Do I need a spring compressor?
Yes. The factory coil transfers to the new front strut. Plan on 1.5 hours per side for the fronts, 20 minutes per side for the rears, and an alignment afterward.
I have a 2019 to 2024 Ram 1500 Classic. Is this my kit?
Yes. The Classic is the 4th gen body and takes this kit.
What is the warranty?
Limited lifetime warranty on all four dampers through Bilstein North America, processed through the original place of purchase. Keep your Hannah Suspension order confirmation.
