Why this kit
This is the step up from a 5100 leveling strut. The Bilstein 6112 is a 60mm monotube coilover with its own cold-wound spring and a billet spring seat, so instead of reusing a tired factory coil you get a matched spring rate, more oil volume, and 0.3 to 2.5 in of front lift set with a snap ring. The two 5160 rears carry the same digressive valving with a remote reservoir that keeps the oil cool on long dirt roads, heavy loads and repeated hits. Bilstein sells these as two separate part numbers; this kit puts the front pair and both rears in one order so the truck is done in one weekend.

Questions
6112 or 5100 strut?
The 5100 reuses your factory spring and levels the truck for about a third of the price. The 6112 replaces the spring with Bilstein's own, adds a 60mm piston and a lot more oil, and rides noticeably better loaded or off pavement. If the truck tows, overlands or wears 33s and up, the 6112 is the one.
Do the fronts come assembled?
No. Bilstein ships the strut and spring separately; assembly needs a spring compressor and the factory top mount. Plan on 2 hours per side for the fronts, 30 to 45 minutes per corner for the rears including reservoir mounting, and an alignment afterward.
Do I need upper control arms?
At 2 in or less of front lift the factory arms are fine. At the top 2.5 in setting aftermarket UCAs are recommended to restore droop travel and alignment range.
I have a Trail Boss or AT4. Which kit?
Those trucks already sit 2 in higher and use a different strut length. Use the Bilstein 6112 + 5160 Trail Boss / AT4 kit (47-309524 / 25-316964).
What is the warranty?
Limited lifetime on the 6112 struts and springs, 2 years on the 5160 reservoir shocks, through Bilstein North America and processed through the original place of purchase. Keep your Hannah Suspension order confirmation.
